EXPERIENCE

Film editing is now something almost everyone can do at a simple level and enjoy it, but to take it to a higher level requires the same dedication and persistence that any other art form does.
- Walter Murch (editor, Apocalypse Now)

All of the videos listed below I edited at Mirage Productions Inc. with some being under strict guidance by producers and others being almost entirely up to me.

TV SHOWS

C-Suite TV:

21 Episodes of Best Seller TV

7 Episodes of C-Suite TV Insights

Business insider TV shows. All edited under strict guidance from the show's Executive Producer. Required syncing of audio with three cameras and cutting between the three different angles, plus color correction/grading to maintain a consistent, on-brand look. Both shows included text animation. Insights included sourcing and inputting pertinent B-Roll.

American Humane:

Hero Dog Awards

For this, I was only 2nd camera/camera assistant, but it's a really great piece so I still wanted to link it here.

NONPROFIT VIDEOS

United Way of Northern NJ:

Impact Awards Finalists Videos

Legacy Luncheon Community Resource Exchange Video (2018)
Legacy Luncheon Community Resource Exchange Video (2019)

All four videos were edited under strict guidance from the producers. The Impact Awards video included a lot of animation for text and images to sync up with provided voice-over tracks.

Norwescap:

Annual Gala Video

A documentary-style video that explored the story of 4 different individuals and how Norwescap had changed/saved their life. This video I not only edited but also served as the 2nd camera operator on both recording days. Within the edit, I was responsible for combing through all the interviews (roughly 5 hours of raw footage) and picking out the best sound bites, and assembling an interwoven story. After that, it was reviewed and refined by the producers of the video.

Atlantic Health System:

Expansion Plan Videos

2 separate scripted videos. One for Hackettstown Medical Center and one for Newton Medical Center. Both showcased the planned expansions (and ones that have happened within the last couple of years) for the respective hospitals. I not only edited these videos but also served as the 2nd camera operator on both recording days. Within the edit, I was responsible for picking out the best takes and interweaving the multiple "interviews" into one coherent narrative, as well as choosing and syncing B-Roll.

CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

HPEFS:

Multiple Internal Communication Videos

These videos ranged from quarterly recaps to fun inspirational videos. All these videos were cut with loose guidance from the producer. A lot was up to me, but the producer was always there to assist and make final calls. I also had to make sure all videos matched the branding requirements of HPEFS.

Selective Insurance:

Multiple Internal Communication Videos

Mainly consisted of editing recordings of past live conference events. Typically these videos consisted of syncing and cutting together three camera angles for videos that ranged from about thirty minutes to an hour.

Centrica Business Solutions:

External Video to Attract New Employees

Documentary-style video with the goal to attract new employees to apply for a job with Centrica. I was responsible for combing through the roughly 6 hours of raw footage and pulling the best sound bites to cut together a coherent narrative to sell working at Centrica. After that, it was reviewed and refined by the producers of the video.

TRAINING VIDEOS

Safe-Strap:

Instructional Videos

Mainly on proper installation and maintenance of harnesses and Safe-Docks. These videos were edited under loose guidance from the producer. This also included some graphic design work as well as recording and syncing voice-over tracks. These videos are used nationwide in classrooms to teach new and existing employees the proper installation procedure.

Aegis Insurance Services Inc:

The Smell of Danger

Scripted documentary-style training video. Edited like a movie with over-sight from the video's director as well as producers from Aegis. A lot of freedom was given to me to assemble the first cut to reflect the script. Other than editing, I was responsible for: audio mixing, color correction and final grade, graphic and title design, green screen removal and background replacement/creation, animation, and music selection. This video is used nationwide in classrooms to teach new and existing employees the proper procedure for checking gas leaks.
